This was probably my favorite Neil Gaiman book I've read. I'd seen the BBC series, so nothing was much of a surprise (the 2 versions are pretty faithful), but it's just a weird and wonderful story - and with the ending that many many such books OUGHT to have but don't!Reading this book reminds me of reading TS Eliot when I was a kid, before I'd ever been to England, and all the place-names were imbued with a mystic and legendary feeling....
